Vacation Programs
When Brookline Public Schools are closed, kids and teens ages 5–17 can spend the day creating at the Brookline Arts Center! Each one-day program offers a fun mix of hands-on art projects, creative exploration, and time to connect with other young artists.
Programs are offered on September 21 for Yom Kippur, October 12 for Indigenous Peoples’ Day, November 3 for the BPS Professional Development Day, and November 11 for Veterans Day.
We offer private lessons and financial aid to accommodate anyone who wishes to take a class. For questions about our policies or for more information, reach out to us at office@brooklineartscenter.com

Class Fee: $150
Spend your day exploring the wonderful world of jewelry and metals! Students will gain a general knowledge of jewelry-making and metalsmithing techniques. Techniques covered will include soldering, piercing, and embellishing in copper and brass. Students must feel comfortable working independently with sharp tools and torches.

Spend the day exploring the wonderful world of clay and all of its sculptural possibilities. Students will learn a range of hand-building techniques including coil building, double pinch pot construction, and discover how these methods can be used to create both functional and imaginative forms. Through guided demonstrations and plenty of creative freedom, kids will experiment with shape, texture, and surface design as they bring their ideas to life.

Private Lessons
One-on-one Lessons and Group Lessons are offered by the BAC faculty for all ages with pricing ranging between $75–$150 per hour.

Financial Aid
The BAC believes the arts should be accessible to all! Tuition assistance (or financial aid) for full season classes, intensives, and workshops is available for all individuals and families throughout the year. Click here to be redirected to our financial aid form.
Please do not register for a class you wish to apply financial assistance for, the BAC will assist you with your registration process if your application has been accepted.
Tuition assistance requests will not be fulfilled until 1-2 weeks before the start date of the requested class. Tuition Assistance requests can be fullfilled up to 2 weeks after the start date of the session if space permits. Until then, we ask for your patience while we work to place students in their requested classes. Scholarships for Ceramics & Jewelry are granted per individual once per fiscal year (September – August). Financial Aid does not apply to private lessons.
We are, additionally, proud to partner with the Mass Cultural Council's Card to Culture program – in collaboration with the Department of Transitional Assistance, the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition Program, and the Massachusetts Health Connector to allow participants to identify the amount they can contribute towards class
