Learn the basics of punch needle embroidery, from designing your own image and stretching your fabric, to familiarizing yourself with the punch needle tool and completing a small textile piece. Let's make Zines! Zines are a form of DIY publishing and a great way to share interests, community messages, or make original mini-books. They also provide a easy and efficient way to provide information to many people and generally easy to make many copies of with a copy machine. Start with a blank 8.5x11" piece of paper and the possibilities are endless!
We highly recommend that workshop participants bring materials to collage with for the workshop. Participants will study a variety of zines, learn basic zine making techniques including the basic 8-page zine and pamphlet style.

The BAC believes the arts should be accessible to all!
Tuition assistance (or financial aid) for full season classes, intensives, and workshops is available for all individuals and families throughout the year. Click here to be redirected to our financial aid form.
Please do not register for a class you wish to apply financial assistance for, the BAC will assist you with your registration process if your application has been accepted.
Tuition assistance requests will not be fulfilled until 1-2 weeks before the start date of the requested class. Tuition Assistance requests can be fullfilled up to 2 weeks after the start date of the session if space permits. Until then, we ask for your patience while we work to place students in their requested classes. Scholarships for Ceramics & Jewelry are granted per individual once per fiscal year (September – August). Financial Aid does not apply to private lessons.
We are, additionally, proud to partner with the Mass Cultural Council's Card to Culture program – in collaboration with the Department of Transitional Assistance, the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition Program, and the Massachusetts Health Connector to allow participants to identify the amount they can contribute towards class tuition.
