Annika is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and mother of two. Her creative journey began in New York City, where she studied at Pratt Institute and worked as a graphic designer for nearly two decades before returning home to Boston. In Boston, Annika has cultivated a practice that blends her expertise in design with her passion for community and storytelling.

Annika’s design career has been defined by collaborations with activists, authors, artists and nonprofit organizations. Whether creating public health campaigns at the onset of the pandemic, collaborating with authors and publishers with shared visions, or partnering with local businesses and racial justice organizations, Annika uses design as a tool for care, change, and community-building.

As an artist, Annika explores the effects of colonialism on three generations of her family. She employs collage to weave connections between the past and present, drawing from family interviews, archival photographs gathered from visits to the Delhi archive, and personal photography collections of her parents and grandparents. Her work is deeply rooted in South Asian futurism, exploring the concepts of return, healing, and transformation as pathways to building collective memory and liberation.

Annika's work has been exhibited at A.I.R. Gallery in Brooklyn, The Piano Craft Gallery in Boston, and The Athenaeum in Philadelphia. Her art has also been published in Create Magazine.
