Rachel Howe is an interdisciplinary artist working with small metals, fibers, clay, and found materials. She is pursuing Archaeology and Studio Art through the Combined-Degree program at Tufts University/School of the Museum of Fine Arts. With experience in archaeological excavations, artifact care, and archaeological research, Rachel explores the intersection of humanity and nature, using her work as a dialogue between past cultures and nature's rhythms. Her art invites reflection on the symbiotic relationship between humanity and the environment, suggesting that just as archaeological findings reveal our shared history, nature’s patterns remind us of our place within a larger ecosystem. By recognizing our commonalities and the natural rhythms that shape our lives, Rachel hopes to deepen our appreciation for both our heritage and the Earth that sustains us. Ultimately, her work celebrates connection—a reminder that, despite our differences, we are all part of a vast, interconnected web of existence.
