Travel the globe through the arts! Children learn about art history, the work of individual artists, and explore the vast range of rich artistic traditions around the world. Explore a world of different artists and styles and learn from their art. We will draw, paint, collage, make prints or even sculpt!

This hands-on pottery program will introduce students to hand-building fundamentals. Explore your creativity while learning various techniques for creating your own mugs, bowls, and other unique pieces! Ceramic work will be fired and ready to take home 4-6 weeks after the session ends. You will be contacted by a staff member when the work is ready for pickup.

In this full-day program, students will be introduced to water-based paints, new forms of printmaking, and how they can be combined! Kids will discover fun ways to create art using anything they can imagine as tools.

This one day program invites young cartoonists to dive into their love of making comics. We’ll take the process from beginning to end: building characters, crafting expressions and poses, selecting shots, inking and color, and generally bringing our stories to life. With a combination of projects, games, silly warmups, and practice exercises, this class aims to help young artists find their comics voices–and use them.

In this one-day program, students will be learning the art of cyanotype printing on ceramics! Students will use premade ceramic tiles to make cyanotype prints using found objects like leaves, flowers, and textured items. Materials are also provided to turn your print into a wall decoration! Students will engage in discussions related to Indigenous [art] practices using found materials and native plants. This process includes a mild bleaching method. Students will be provided gloves and masks while handling any potentially toxic materials.
Ceramic work will be fired and ready to take home 4-6 weeks after the session ends. You will be contacted by a staff member when the work is ready for pickup.

Spend the day exploring the wonderful world of jewelry and metals! Students will gain a general knowledge of jewelry-making and metalsmithing techniques in this week-long intensive. Techniques covered will include soldering, piercing, and embellishing in copper and brass.

Kids will have the opportunity to delve into the world of texture and sculpture with a camp focused entirely on 3D art. In this week-long program, we will discover different kinds of sculpture, and use a wide range of materials to create original artworks that stand up and stand out!

This weeklong vacation program taught by teaching artist and illustrator Zoe Schein will introduce young artists to the key principles of illustration and design. Through a broad sampling of illustration genres, such as storybook illustration, comics and graphic novels, advertisement design, logo making, and more, students will build their understanding of how design works while communicating the stories and ideas that matter most to them.

Tuition assistance (or financial aid) for classes and workshops is available for all individuals and families throughout the year. Click here to be redirected to our financial aid form.
Please do not register for a class you wish to apply financial assistance for, the BAC will assist you with your registration process if your application has been accepted.
Tuition assistance requests will not be fulfilled until the week of December 16 - 20. Tuition Assistance requests can be fullfilled up to 2 weeks after the start date of the session if space permits. Until then, we ask for your patience while we work to place students in their requested classes. Scholarships for Ceramics & Jewelry are granted per individual once per fiscal year (September – August)
We are, additionally, proud to partner with the Mass Cultural Council's Card to Culture program – in collaboration with the Department of Transitional Assistance, the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition Program, and the Massachusetts Health Connector to allow participants to identify the amount they can contribute towards class tuition.
