Liliana Marquez, also known as “lilimarq,” has been a vibrant presence in Boston’s art community since 1998. Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, she was nurtured in a culturally rich environment that ignited her passion for art in all its forms. Liliana is a graduate of the prestigious Caracas Institute of Design (Class of 1995), where she earned her BA in Art and Graphic Design.

Her groundbreaking philosophy, REPOP ART, transforms reclaimed and surplus architectural sample materials into dynamic 3D artworks, home décor, and furniture. Each piece radiates life, hope, and sustainability, as she repurposes discarded materials—saving them from landfills and inspiring a renewed vision of beauty in the overlooked.

Her work has been showcased in notable exhibitions across the Americas and Central Europe, earning accolades for its innovative blend of art, design, and environmental consciousness. Liliana has participated in esteemed residencies and continues to conduct creative workshops in libraries and nonprofit organizations, empowering diverse communities to explore the transformative power of recycled art.
