Thinking outside of the box is what artists do best. In this class, we will learn about artists who thought beyond the canvas and looked outside their normal environment for inspiration. Projects will include painting and drawing on the most unconventional materials. We will learn about murals, and sculptures and create some unique interdisciplinary art of our own.

Travel through time in this immersive day long program that will intertwine various aspects of history and art history through engaging projects. The class is designed to be multidisciplinary, combining elements of art, history, natural science, and social science. This approach encourages a holistic understanding of the interconnections between various aspects of human experience and the world around us.

In this one-day program, students will be learning the art of cyanotype printing on ceramics! Students will use premade ceramic tiles to make cyanotype prints using found objects like leaves, flowers, and textured items. Materials are also provided to turn your print into a wall decoration! Students will engage in discussions related to Indigenous [art] practices using found materials and native plants. This process includes a mild bleaching method. Students will be provided gloves and masks while handling any potentially toxic materials.

Spend the day exploring the wonderful world of jewelry and metals! Students will gain a general knowledge of jewelry making and metalsmithing techniques in this week-long intensive. Techniques covered will include soldering, piercing, and embellishing in copper and brass.

In this full-day program, students will be introduced to water-based paints, new forms of printmaking, and how they can be combined! Kids will discover fun ways to create art using anything they can imagine as tools.

This day is all about comics and cartooning! Through prompts and projects, students will split their time between learning essential comics skills like facial expressions, poses, and storyboarding and coming up with and executing their own original comics stories.
