Description
Responsibilities
- Manage office email and phone calls (attending to inquiries about programs when possible and forwarding inquires to appropriate staff members)
- Assist in managing daily operations of classes and communications with students and staff.
- Assist in gallery-related programming and marketing
- Work with staff to plan and execute events
- Assist with institutional giving bulk mailings
- Distribute promotional materials to the community
- Make necessary edits to website and social media channels
- Take minutes during weekly staff meetings
Students who apply for this internship should be available to be in-office for 10-15 hours per week, with occasional weekend availability.
Qualifications
- Priority will be given to individuals currently enrolled in a secondary education institution.
- Majors in nonprofit management, arts-related, or media-related programs will be strongly considered
- Ability to work collaboratively or independently on projects
- Experience in an office or relevant setting
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Suite (Office, Excel, Powerpoint), Google Drive, and relevant Database Entry experience.

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of remaining stationary and working on a computer
- Possess mobility to work in an office setting and use office equipment
- Ability to see, listen, and talk for extended periods in person, over the telephone, and computer and understand printed materials
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds, pushing and pulling, keyboarding and gripping
- Must be able to exchange accurate information with students, parents, and staff
